The seating shown below is strengthened using -
18mm MDF base, legs integral or attached with countersunk anti-tamper screws
a minimum of 3mm ply / 6mm bendy MDF over supporting rails on all exposed surfaces
seat and back webbing replaced with 12mm ply boards

The cabinet furniture shown below features –
18mm MFC carcass with 25mm post formed hpl top panels
18mm MF-MDF front panels
metal sided drawers
anti-tamper, anti-ligature fixings throughout
